Mini Valentine’s Day Pattern Collection

Creating seasonal pattern collections is so fun to mark the changing of the seasons and enjoy the little things in life. I love decorating my house year round. While Christmas is the most decorated holiday in our house, I still love incorporating some decor throughout the year. My Valentine’s decor is very simple: a couple pillows, a tea towel and a trinket plate, but it still makes me happy!

Since having my first baby last year, I love seasonal outfits with patterns on them to mark my baby’s first year of holidays. At Thanksgiving, she had a cute holiday print sleeper with Thanksgiving foods and pie, and it was adorable. I am always on the lookout for a holiday themed print, and there are so many companies releasing cute prints for baby clothes, and family matching outfits! I would love to see my work on baby clothes and children’s outfits as I am in this phase of motherhood.

I normally design in 9 patterns for a full collection. I have mini collections, with 4 patterns, for holidays and seasons, such as Valentine’s Day. My St. Patrick’s Day and Easter mini collections both use the floral toss pattern in a color palette for the season, with green hues for St. Patrick’s Day and soft pastels for Easter. My Spooky Sweet Pattern Collection started as a mini collection, with the floral toss pattern as well, but I turned it into a full collection last fall. It is now available in my Spoonflower shop. I also have a colorful mini collection for fall, Pumpkins and Zinnias. My Mini Valentine’s Day Pattern Collection is filled with pink and red hues, florals, hearts, and little love notes.

The Mini Valentine’s Day Pattern Collection has 4 patterns like my other mini collections. The collection features the prints: valentine floral toss, valentine hearts, valentine plaid, and valentine love letters.

I want to expand this mini collection into a full collection. I love using the floral motif shapes to make a pattern, like my shamrock florals in the St. Patrick’s Day collection. For this collection, I used the florals to create a heart-shape for Valentine’s Day.

Valentine’s is a sweet day, great for a date night with your spouse, or a girl’s night to eat dessert! It is just a fun holiday to spend with loved ones, showing how we appreciate them.
