Spooky Sweet Pattern Collection for Halloween

Fall is my favorite season with the cozy atmosphere, changing leaves, delicious foods, and comfy clothes as the weather changes. As soon as September hits, I am ready to decorate and buy pumpkins! I did not grow up celebrating Halloween and only went to my first Halloween party when I was in my twenties. My older sister and I dressed up as a Starbucks barista and coffee drink, which was so much fun! Homemade and DIY costumes are my favorite! I love the dressing up part of Halloween, and the candy!

I created a Mini Halloween Pattern Collection last year featuring cute ghosts, leaves, and candy, and this year decided to finish it into a complete collection featuring my standard 9 patterns. I released this entire collection on Spoonflower with a few additional options for patterns that fit the style and color story of the Spooky Sweet Pattern Collection.

Spooky Sweet Patterns

Spooky Sweet is a fun and whimsical collection with Halloween motifs. The motifs include cute ghosts, candies, leaves, and florals. This collection is shown in orange, yellow, brown, black and white for Halloween. This pattern collection features 9 patterns and is perfect for the autumnal season leading up to Halloween on October 31st.

Halloween Floral Toss for the Spooky Sweet Pattern Collection is shown in orange hues, yellow hues, white, and black. My floral toss pattern is a design I use in seasonal collections. Here it is in my Mini Easter Pattern Collection and Mini St. Patrick’s Day Pattern Collection.

Halloween Floral Toss Pattern

I originally started with these 4 patterns below for the Mini Halloween Pattern Collection I released last fall. I updated the collection to have 9 patterns by adding 5 more patterns, including the floral toss pattern and more secondary and blender prints featuring ghosts and leaves. I like starting seasonal collections this way to slowly build an entire collection with a name and story behind them. I chose Spooky Sweet for this collection since it features cute ghosts and candies for Halloween. I do not like anything scary for Halloween, hence the smiling ghosts.

I kept the color palette simple featuring mostly orange, yellow, black, and white. The color palette makes it easily identifiable as a seasonal fall and Halloween collection.

Here are the secondary and blender prints. The collection includes Spooky Ghosts, Halloween Time, Fall Color, Candied Pumpkins, Fall Candy, Falling Leaves, Cute Ghosts, and Autumnal Leaves.

I normally make a few illustrations and banners from the motifs for the collection. I use these for my portfolio to package it all together cohesively.

Available on Spoonflower

I reopened my Spoonflower Shop after not using it for awhile. I love making patterns and wanted an easy way to get them on fabric. There are so many options to use fabric for children’s clothes, home decor, and more!

I love the ghosts and think they would be so cute as a baby, toddler, or little girl’s dress for the season! The Spooky Ghosts Pattern is available here on Spoonflower.

The Halloween Time Pattern is available here on Spoonflower. This is my favorite pattern from the collection. I love that it is simple with only a few colors - orange, yellow, brown, white and black.

The Halloween Time pattern makes the perfect tablecloth for kids!

I added a few extra patterns that blend with the Spooky Sweet Pattern Collection that are for fall. These patterns coordinate well with the collection. The Jarrahdale Pumpkins - Orange with White Background Pattern is available here on Spoonflower. I have several colorways for these pumpkins in my Spoonflower Shop.

The Fall Oak Leaf Pattern is available here on Spoonflower. I drew the oak leaves from photos of fallen leaves I found on my walks last fall. This is such a simple pattern since it features one motif in repeat.
